Mar.13th, 2010 Apple Valley Eagles take 4th in State Tournament The Eagles took 4th place, while the Hill Murray Pioneers took 3rd. Hudson Fasching was named to the "All Tournament Team", and Pete Sikich was recognized with the Herb Brooks Award. AJ Michaelson and Hudson Fasching were named "best duo of the tournament" by the Star Tribune. More to come ... Mar.12th, 2010 Eagles will play Hill Murray for 3rd Place Hornet goalie Connor Girard's glove hand robbed AJ Michaelson of a crucial goal in the 2nd period to keep the Eagles off the scoreboard and advance Edina to the Championship round with a 2-0 win. Eagles goalie Aaron Gretz made 35 saves and was named one of the stars of the game. Apple Valley will play Hill Hurray for 3rd place Saturday, Mar.13th at 4:00 PM at the Xcel Center.  State Tournament brackets for Class AA. Mar.11th, 2010 Eagles Soar past Blaine to Advance to State Semi-Finals Led by senior forward Adam Robson's goal in the 2nd period, an open net goal by freshman Hudson Fasching, and another outstanding shut-out by junior goalie Aaron Gretz, the Eagles edged past the Blaine Bengals 2-0 to advance to the Semi-Final round against 2nd seeded Edina. While it may be seen as an upset by some (MNHockeyHub, Star Tribune, Pioneer Press) it was no surprise to the young Eagles team who are just getting started. The Eagles topped the Woodbury Royals 4-0 to clinch the 3AA Section Championship and score a ticket to the State Tournament. Feb.27th, 2010 Eagles Advance to Section 3AA Championship with 3-2 Overtime Win against Eagan Wildcats The Eagles led the Wildcats 2-0 coming into the 3rd, but Eagan fought back to tie it up late in the period. In overtime the Eagles #21 scored with a laser shot from the point to send the team onto the Section 3AA Championship against Woodbury next Thursday, Mar.4th. See more game photos here.   Feb.25th, 2010 Number 19's hat-trick and 33's shut-out
lead the Eagles to a 3-0 win over the Hastings Raiders in the Section
3AA Quarter-Finals. Apple Valley moves on to the
section semi-finals against its Lake Conference rival Eagan on
Saturday, Feb.27th.
